Lots of new posts!

Hi everyone! Just so you know, I updated the last two weeks. Some don't show up without clicking on the July tab on the left. Enjoy!

3-2

Alex's boss, Scotty, took us on his boat in Avalon and we went fishing. It was great! I caught 2 fish before Alex caught any, and of course we make a competition out of everything, so I figured I was definitly going to win. But then Scotty changed my bait and it was all downhill from there and Alex caught one fish, then another, then lastly, caught a third but it was the biggest one of the day. Darn, he won. Nonetheless, it was a fun time with Scotty and his kids. Scotty also took us clamming for the first time. Quite a different experience. I got stuck in the mud after telling Scotty that the mud felt neat and I should have known when he asked "you like mud, huh? follow me." I followed. and got stuck in the mud. but we caught some great clams that we steamed up when we got back to his house.

Happy Birthday America!

Every fourth of July for the past couple of years, we create some great memories together. This year we played horseshoes on the beach as Suz sat like a starfish making us laugh like usual. They got free bottles of 'skinny' water and hoping it would make me skinnier, I chugged the bottle. And we sat on our beach chairs, talking and telling our crazy stories that never cease to make us laugh. Here's to another great 4th of July!

sunset

The one good thing about coming home late is the opportunity to catch great sunsets. As I sit in traffic, seeing the beautiful colors and the glow the sun gives off is the one thing that keeps me at peace.

More progress

The garage door is on; the concrete is partially poured; but the best part of this picture is the fact that the gutters are done and Alex is so happy that he got to do them himself! We'll have the best gutters on the block :-)

"I'll do it, I'll do it"

It's no secret that my car is a mess. Whenever I clean it, it only takes a couple of days before it's once again a mess. I don't have any excuse for it except that I am in my car for much longer than the average person and by the time I get home, I'm lazy and don't feel like taking the bags and things out of my car. This is where Madison comes in - she just loves to clean my car and usually tells me in her cute little voice that I have too many water bottles in my car. Today I wanted the outside of my car washed so I asked Edward if he wanted to wash it. Madison, standing in front of me, started jumping up and down, waving her hands in my face saying "I'll do it, sissy, I'll wash your car" and as I'm trying to persuade Edward since he said no, Madison was still standing in front of me waving her hands in my face saying "I'll DO IT - I'll wash your car sissy!!" So, I pulled my car in, dad got the soap ready and she cleaned my car with dad.

View from the front door

This is the diagonal view from our front door. I'm now trying to decide what to put above the fireplace. Since your eyes are just drawn to that when you walk in as the main focal point, I want something awesome. Maybe a framed picture of beautiful sunset...there's an idea.

day of wedding tasks

Centerpieces - check. Appetizers - check. Soup& salad - check. seafood - check. Warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream - CHECK!!! Tux's - no check. The purpose of today was to get tux's for Alex and the guys and we aren't having much luck finding what we want. Instead of getting mad, we went and stuffed our faces with great food to make us feel better. As I was sitting in the car waiting for him to get out of the bank, I took this pic and thought it was neat looking...but I took it to remind myself of how gross & stuffed & guilty I felt after eating all that food. I'm hoping to look at this picture in the future and be dissuaded from eating like a cookie monster; 'hoping' being the key word.

"I'm not victorino"

Little kids say and do the cutest & funniest things that are often forgotten as they grow up. Shane is the most respectful, generous & cutest 3 year old boy ever. He always helps Madison when she is scared to go in the pool and when she finally get in, he pulls her around and stays with her so she isn't scared - it's so cute! Alex started calling him Shane Victorino and he would look at him and say "I'm not Victorino!!!" Of course, Alex kept saying it to him and now whenever we watch the Phillies, I always think of his little voice saying "I'm not Victorino"
I can't wait to see him and Madison walk down the aisle as flower girl and ring bear!

Tang Martini's = my new found love

Alex and I went to Old Swede's Inn and after looking through the drink menu, I decided on the tang martini. I started off with the little shaker that had the leftovers and since they were just so delicious, the bartender switched over to the big shaker since Stephanie and I just loved them. Tang brings me back to when I was about 9 years old and went to West Virginia with my friend Joanie at the time. That's all we drank and I loved it but I don't remember ever having it after that; until tonight. I might try to make them. It's tang powder on the rim (the best part!!!); vodka, already made tang and I think one other part but I can't remember...I'll have to check next time I go. Who wants to make them at the next family function????

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! (26 for the 2nd year in a row!)

Although I did not take this picture, I had to post it as my one a day. The week of my birthday, Alex worked such long hard hours in the swealtering heat, getting home after me everynight. Needless to say, he was very tired every night. On my birthday, he, along with Mom and friends, came out for a couple drinks to celebrate me turning 26 again. Alex ended up staying out later than I expected and around ten o'clock I saw the look that he was ready to leave and as he was leaving he asked me if I could come home soon since he had a surprise for me and wanted to be awake when I got home. I left shortly after and when I got home, all the lights were out. As I walked in the door, Alex was standing at the top of the stairs with my favorite cake he baked and the only light in the house was one birthday candle; the only sound was him singing happy birthday!!! He totally made my day!

3 months til the big day

In only three months, we will be Mr & Mrs. Joswick! I love taking pictures of us and this one came out so cute because as I was about to take the picture, alex tickled me and I turned my head at the last second before the picture was taken. I love it. The next three months, just as the last year, is going to fly by and I really can't wait!

Grand entrance

I stopped by the house and all the dry wall was put on the wood. Now, the inside of the house actually looks like a house. The grand entrance looked great and this was the best angle I could get to sort of getting the feeling of how spacious it is. I didn't expect it to be as spacious; but it's wonderful! I think I am going to get some frames and do a great display of pictures in the main foyer...ya know, since I love my pictures!

cheap sunglasses are the way to go

I refuse to spend more than $20 (and that's even a little excessive) on a pair of sunglasses. This is why: I always break them. No matter how careful I am with the expensive pairs, they always end up breaking and then I get mad at myself for spending so much money on them. There is this place by my work that has the cutest pairs for less than $5; actually, the name of the store is $5 and below. After a fun night out with Noelle, my poor sunglasses fell victim of breakage. But it's okay, because I only paid $3 for them.
